The thing with kills, knife kills, k/d, w/l ratio is that they can all be manipulated with minimal effort, and it does not improve the player's usefulness on the field.

Talent in this game is alot like any major team sport i.e. football. Big players make big plays in crucial games. If your team is cornered in EU base, can you consistently get them out. Consistency, and being able to work in a team as well as on your own, are the biggest factors for me.

It is interesting though to see the metrics everyone uses for player-worth. And just to admit up to my hipocrisy, I do try to keep my scores up too, mostly just to have a goal to work towards.

I measure my skill by how many rounds I can help my team win. If I'm commanding and my team loses, well I'm sure theres something I could have done better while commanding. I also pay attention to my teamwork points more than my k/d ratio. If I have the highest score on my team, then I am contributing the most on my side of the war.

95% of all teens would go into a panic if the Jonas Brothers were on top of a building about to jump. Put this in your sig if you are one of the 5% who would bring popcorn and invite friends while yelling "JUMP BITCH! JUMP!"

I agree Tainted, teamwork points are a highly underrated stat. If you are playing conquest, I think k/d does matter too because of the tickets factor, but too many teams fail for a lack of teamwork.

Stats are a good way to evalutate yourself, because you know how you got them, but they don't always work for evaluating someone else, because of cheats/macros/stat padders, etc.

for example, a person who plays on a server that is FF-off will not t/k anywhere near as much as the same guy playing on a FF-on, and that affects the T/K, T/D stats as well as teamwork points. When you play with a game-changer you know. I play with the BRA team on titan sometimes when I get a chance. Their stats suck, but whatever team they are on will almost always win, and they are a large factor to that.
